Transforming your space

Home Remodels

Transformative remodels with your needs and wants at the top of the list, thoughtful design, and seamless project communication.

  1. Meet with the builder – some think that the first step in remodling is to find an architect or home designer. Early integration with your builder can make your vision and dreams of your home more seamless. Depending on your taste, Ethington Homes & Remodel can pivot and adjust to your needs and suggest who to bring onto our team before digging the hole for your foundation.
  2. Form the Team – I can make personal recommendations to bank lenders, architects and interior designers based upon your style.
  3. Estimate – We will sit down with you to go over the specifications of your remodel to get a better understanding of the scope of work, from the color of your door knobs down to the built-in bench in your laundry room.
  1. Signing – After the final estimate has been given to you, we sign a professional services agreement that requires earnest money down to begin the final stages of plan review for building department submittals.
  2. Contract – Before picking up the building permit, a final services agreement is signed for the home’s scope of work and all of our services.
  3. Construction – We work with you and our trade partners to build what is on the plans and specifications sheets.
  4. Keys – After the build we set a time after closing that is an orientation to your new home, where we also hand the keys back over. This is a complimentary introduction to your home, showcasing all the features and maintenance items.

How much will my remodel cost?

Every remodel transformation is unique, so costs vary depending on the scope, materials, and existing conditions. After an initial free consultation and walk-through, we’ll provide a detailed estimate based on your goals and budget.

How long with the remodel take?

Timelines depend on the size and complexity of the project. A bathroom might take only a few weeks, while a full home remodel could take several months. Once we understand the scope, we’ll give you a clear pathway and schedule and keep you updated ever step of the way.

Will I need to move out during the remodel?

It depends on the scale of the work and your comfort level. We can sit down and discuss your project’s scope, and what living amongst the construction would look like pertaining to logistics, staging, egress, and access to other parts of your home. For larger or full home remodels, temporary relocation might be more comfortable. We’ll help you plan for this based on safety, noise, and daily disruptions.

Can I make changes during the remodel?

We understand that ideas can evolve. So yes, you can. We’ll walk you through the process of making changes, including how it may affect cost and timeline by providing clear documentation that helps you make clear, educated decisions. Our flexible approach ensures you stay in control without causing unnecessary delays.

How do you keep the job site clean and minimize disruption?

We understand that a transformative remodel isn’t just a construction site, this is still your home. We take pride in maintaining clean, organized workspaces. It starts by working with a team that takes pride in their work. When a trade partner takes pride in their work they like to showcase it at all times. This means we use dust protection Zip Walls to separate the construction site as needed. We use floor coverings and daily clean-up measures to minimize the impact on your home life. Respecting your space is part of the service we promise.
